Real war sucks...people getting killed and all...but in games....war is cool. Who doesn't like shooting a Nazi in the face? Tell me you don't enjoy watching the enemy fall before your advancing troops, or the thrill of taking country after country as your invincible army ravages the globe. Yes, I love war games...but I wonder; why aren't there more options in most games? I mean, we want realism right? Some nifty additions to any game:
-Salt the earth
Nothing will grow again...take that. After salting the earth, I want to see a clip of a farmer looking sad...salting the earth would be a cool feature, in all reality. After you take a zone and salt the earth, it loses productivity...could be fun. Besides, I just like saying, “salt the earth so nothing will ever grow again”...
-Switch sides
So, your playing as Italy in a WWII game…oh, uh, Germany is falling....time to change sides! Ha ha, now I'll never lose! Sorry America…we were just kidding...we are down with you now. Big Mac and fries!
-Injecting air into your veins
For when the combat stress just gets to be too much....mainly for a Vietnam game...of course, the button for this should be REALLY close to like, the fire button...DAMNIT, I injected the air again....ha ha.
-Show your Wang
It will scare the enemy
-Drink Rum!
Ever see the last episode of “Band of Brothers”? They find Hitler’s secret booze bunker. They find 10,000 bottles of primo booze. Why isn't this a Medal of Honor level? Oh no, all your soldiers are drunk off their asses...they can't shoot strait, but they can't feel pain either!
-Steal Art
Sell for profit! Everyone loves stealing art!

civilians? Shouldn't you be able to do that? What if I really don't like the
natives?*

-RAPE THE LOCAL WOMEN!
I can't think of a game that wouldn't be made better by that option...
A list of 3 games I'm playing now...
-WAR! Age of Imperialism
Turn-based game set in, of course, the age of imperialism...duh. Start out with 2 or 3 territories on the world map...build your armies and try to defeat your enemies! This is a direct port of the board game to computer...enjoyable...great AI.
-Call Of Duty
FPS of WWII....very, very, very fun times...shooting Nazi’s in the face is good times...play as the Americans, British or Russians...on Russian levels don't expect to start with a gun...cheap bastards.
-Europa: Scorched Earth
An actual board game of the Russian front of WWII. Map is about 5 foot by 3 foot. Hundreds of counters...turns take about an hour...it's great!
