I love concerts. I go to at least 2 shows a month. I've seen more bands than you. As I go to so many shows I have come to notice what bands are great in concert and what bands suck. Anyway, since I know more than you do I will now list some of the greatest live bands ever. It should be noted that I am only listing a few of the best of the best. Also, these are national bands that are still touring. I have left off some great gems as The Aquabats (currently west coast/LA only), Primus (broken up, may be touring again, but I think that is coming to a end) and 2 Skinee Js (currently broke up and were NYC-VA Beach only) And contrary to popular perception Korn sucks, and they suck even worse in concert

Reel Big Fish

Energy, though the roof. Crazy antics and binge drinking. Yes, I am talking about the band. These guys have a great style on stage. The first time I saw them the trombone player was wearing a bee suit and the lead singer was in a white puma running suit which he had spilled a bloody marry down the front. The bee suit was never explained or commented on, it just was. They count off the songs "We are on the fifth song". They announce the encore. "We will leave, you cheer, we come back, play beer" I know it all sounds kinda dumb, but in reality it is a great show. The crowd is always into it, most times they know every word to every song. All in all it ends up being an amazing show.

Suicide Machines

The band didn't have the best stage presence ever and the music wasn't all that great, but what made this band stand out is what I'll call the crowd games. They start with the Braveheart. Everyone splits down the center, then when the music starts, everyone runs at each other, thus recreating bravehearts battles. A few circle pits later it was time for the reverse braveheart. Split down the middle and run away from each other into those people off to the side that are scared of the middle... the best part was that the center of the floor was empty... there could have been tumbleweed...

Sammy Hagar passed a bottle of tequila though the audience but other than that he sucks

Guttermouth

the only band I saw that insulted the audience’s mother all the time. If you know anything about the band you know that they play "offensive punk" and they carry it into the shows. They get all the hot girls on stage and make them dance. Then anounce how they will fuck them. The whole show is a big fuck you and yes, you will love every minute of it

mindless self indulgence

Crazy ass shit. Jimmy Urine, the lead singer comes out with a jacket that has "skool in stay" spray painted on the back. The band is two dudes and two hot ass chicks. hot chicks in a punk band? Damn strait! Anyway, Jimmy has some crazy antics on stage. He is alway in motion. At one point some girl threw here panties on stage, he shoved them down his pants and a few minutes later threw them back into the crowd... people fought over them. A bra was thrown on stage, he wore it. The dude’s crazy. He stood on some giant speaker, which promptly fell over, he dove off the balcony, insulted the French and did somersaults for some unknow reason. Damn it was a great show. It seems that there was a ton of underage fat girls at this show, so if your into that (lord knows I am)

Finally, the greatest live band ever....

GWAR

Fuckin’ GWAR man. Yea the music ain't so great but damn that is one fine stage show. IF you don't know by now.... well they shoot hundreds of gallons of fake blood and other boily fluids into the crowd. The blood comes from the people the decapitate on stage, or the blood guns... At the show I saw they killed Sadam, Tyson, and Bush. Sadam pissed on the crowd with his "weapon of mass destruction" first. When I left the show I was dripping in fake blood, my shirt was bright red and my contacts had also been died red. Amazingly the concert had a plot! See the female member of the band was mad at the lead singer and cut off his giant penis. So the rest of the show he is trying to get it back! It was funny stuff. So the show goes on, they fight monsters or kill things...every song! Yes, this show rocked my socks off!

Well kids there ya go, now get out there and support your local bands!
