SO it's been in the news lately that all the republicans are upset over a little movie. Some guy strung together a few news clips, did some interviews, and made the administration look very foolish. Is it all true? How the fuck should I know? This isn't about that. No, what makes me angry at this moment is that the slighted republicans are going around calling it propaganda. HOLY HELL you got some smart republicans.
Of course its propaganda, everyone knows that. But wait, here’s the twist. The part that really gets me...they say propaganda is...a BAD thing. In fact they seem to recall that the Nazis used propaganda, they are calling Michael Moore a Nazi Propagandist… funny, I don't recall the Aryan race or the Jews ever being mentioned....I'm sure that the GOP saw something I didn't of course...
So, the GOP has said, any piece of film that portrays a political view (since it's against them) is propaganda, and propaganda makes you a Nazi? Well then kids, may I introduce to you the biggest propagandist of WWII? Why yes, it is the Walt Disney Corporation (I always figured they were dirty Nazis) But wait, wait, this is PRO-American...damn, so does this mean all propaganda isn't from the Nazis? Someone should tell the Republicans....
I have just obtained (from the library) my very first Walt Disney DVD set. It's Walt Disney: On the Front Lines. And it contains a whole lot of propaganda. (About 3 and 1/2 hours of it) Some good stuff, Daffy Duck gets drafted, Pluto is the Army mascot, Goofy screws a French whore (or not) and even some films they made on weapons training, I'm pretty sure I know how to shoot a German Tank with a anti-tank rifle now. I haven't seen any of the anti-Japanese stuff on it, I think that may have been deemed a bit to racist and buried forever. However, I did see Hitler get his head stuck in a fat woman's ass, and that's just as good...
Anyway, what we have here is some fun time, pro American propaganda. Propaganda that makes you hate a nation’s leader who thought he could invade everywhere with one or two world allies...or am I talking about Michael Moore again?
