The Ninja is the deadliest assassin that can be found in any area of the globe. This undisputed fact has lead the dreams of many young people through the years, praying, hoping, and studying every form of martial arts that they could find in hopes of one day becoming one of these deadly killers.

The problem with all of these theories is that if someone has seen a Ninja, they are probably dead because of some massive wrong that they have incurred on someone else. This has left the idea of Ninja shrouded in mystery. None would come forward and claim the mantel that was rightfully theirs and proclaim themselves Ninja. This has left much of the public to fall to simple rumors and unjustifiable claims. But what are Ninja?

The truth of this matter came out when an unlikely man stepped forward and was ready to set things straight for the world. This man came forward to prove once and for all the truth about the Ninja, and to finally show the difference between the truth and the child’s stories that so many people have been basing there lives and training on.

When this man first was presented to me, I had my doubts about what he was saying. You see, Mr. John Smith (A name used for his protection) is well over 600 pounds. The idea that this man was one of the world’s top kills was a little hard to grasp at first. But through countless demonstrations he was able to prove his powers to me. It is needless to say that I was stunned at the amount of power that this man had within his hands and the grace and speed that he was able to move at, seemingly at will.

Mr. Smith finally decided that he needed to come forward to share his story with the world. To prove facts about Ninja, and to finally prove to everyone that even Ninjas are people too. The last one was surprising important to Mr. Smith. He became very emotional when he spoke of the subject.

Mr. Smith’s story starts when he was a young man, thirty years ago. While at the tender age of 8 he was practice Tai Chi in the gym of his school a man came up to him and asked him if he had ever considered becoming a Ninja. Mr. Smith’s first reaction was to ignore the man. Even at that age, the young Mr. Smith was 75 pounds over weight. The man told him that he would make him a Ninja one way or another, and then left. Smith thought that it was an odd experience and went on with his practice. For Smith nothing would have been odder then a Ninja who was only an expert of Tai Chi.

When Smith returned home, his parents had informed him that he was to be transferred to another school under a scholarship that someone had just called about. He was going to go to Africa and study for several years. Smith says that he honestly didn’t think about the odd man at school when his parents told him this, and was more then happy to go. Smith would later add that he had started Tai Chi as a way to get away from his abusive father. This seemed like a dream come true.

What Smith was saying was amazing. Long had been held the theory that most Ninjas had to be born into a family of Ninja. Those outside were just dreaming of getting into the world. John was more then happy to state that fact as false. He did point out that when he reached the camp most of the people who were there had families that were Ninja. It was just a matter of being devoted to the martial arts that gave one the power to become more then most mortal men ever could be.

Another thing that Smith was happy to point out was that when he reached the camp in Africa the others thought it only mildly odd that he was very over weight. He was soon to be instructed by his teacher that there had been a few Ninja in the past who had managed to be over weight and still pull off everything that any of the other Ninja was able to do. It turns out that it is the will of the person that gives the power to the art, not the way that they look, or how much they weigh. John’s master told him very early that he had one of the strongest wills that he had ever seen in his years of teaching.

Around this point in the interview I pointed out to John that he didn’t look like a man who was almost 40 years old. He then told me that another one of the Ninja secrets was the slowing down of the aging process. He said that through all of the training, one of the many things that start to become clear is that every action of the body can be controlled by the mind, and the mind is controlled by the will. He said that this was one of the secrets that allowed him to maintain his weight, and still the foremost killers in the world.

Through Smith’s countless stories, one of the things that he seemed most happy to keep bringing up the entire time was his family. From one story to another he would pull out his wallet and show a picture of his children and his wife. “They just make the world a better place, don’t you think?” Was one of the common expressions he was likely to add before placing the image back into his pocket. Every time the pictures came out, a smile that crossed his massive face would appear. Every time that they went back into hiding it seemed that the world was preparing to weep from the look of sadness he tried to hide.

When asked if he would like to see any of his children follow in his line of work he almost jumped out of his seat. “Of course I would!” He bellowed. He then went on to recount how much he loved his job. From the massive amounts of money that he earns from doing the most “trivial” tasks, to the amount of time that he gets off between assignments, he was happy from the start of his job to right now, thirty years after it began. “The best part is that I can quit at any time, and still be insanely wealthy,” he put in. He said that as long as someone could get over the fact that they would have to kill hundreds of people, sometimes at within one day, he said it was wonderful. He also pointed out that the training did, in fact, get ride of most reactions one would have from that type of thing.

Mr. Smith is an overly happy man, with a very large family, a larger heart, and an insanely large waste line. He is a man who enjoys his job, and is the first to point out that his weight seems to only add to his success. “You never suspect the fat guy of killing the King. You have no idea how many times that saved me,” He ended our interview with, and then departed in a cloud of smoke, and a laugh.
